  • There was much discussion around whether we need to have international schools as a separate category in the Regions section of IASL when we have an IB schools category in the Special Interest Groups (SIG) section. Not having a region of International Schools means that there will not be a session for International Schools to get together at IASL conferences when regional meetings are held. Also it is hard for Ingrid as coordinator to make contact with International School TLs if they are not in the region of International Schools. The registration form is confusing. Only having IB as a SIG cuts out those International Schools who do not have an IB curriculum. Ingrid was going to bring up this dilemma at the IASL Board/Executive Committee meeting following directly after the conference close to see how the situation could be improved.
